This Mauser C96 (Construktion 96 aka “Broomhandle”) pistol chambered in 7.63×25mm Mauser is in excellent condition. Based on serial number it was manufactured between 1912-1915 (best approximation as Mauser records were destroyed at the end of WWII). This appears to be the standard commercial model and has been refinished. The original blue on the extractor now appears slightly plumb as does the hammer which would have originally been “in the white” meaning unfinished. Overall the finish is nice with only a small scratch under the barrel near the magazine.
The grip is good with a good finish and only minor dings. The detachable wood stock is excellent with no markings and does attach to the pistol smoothly. The pistol frame does have a small ding on left side of magazine and does not appear to have been pitted. Breech face does show evidence of some pitting. The bore is good but does show pitting. The action of the pistol is crisp and all parts are functional. Serial numbers match frame and hammer but other parts may not match.
