This Czech Vz.82 (aka CZ-82, M82) Pistol is in very good condition.  The pistol is chambered in 9x18mm Makarov and was made by Česká Zbrojovka(CZ) at the Povaska Bystrica factory in 1988.  This pistol includes two (2) magazines, holster, lanyard, and cleaning rod.

The overall paint finish is good but does show flaking especially on the slide and front grip.  The grip panels are very good with no cracks and show only minor wear and scratches.  The bore is excellent, shiny, and showing almost no wear. Breech face is very clean.  Internals show minor wear on frame and are extremely dry.  The pistol would benefit from a light cleaning and good oiling.

All parts appear present and the pistol functions mechanically as it should.  This pistol has not been test fired by us.

This pistol includes two (2) 12 round magazines, leather holster, cleaning rod, and lanyard.  Holster condition is very good with minor wear.

This pistol does qualify for C&R.

The Vz. 82 pistol was made by Česká Zbrojovka Uherský Brod (famously known as CZ) for the Czech Military and Police as a replacement for the prior Vz.52.  This was done under pressure from the Soviet Union which had already upgraded its pistols from 7.62×25mm Tokarev to the 9x18mm Makarov caliber.  Rather than use the Russian Makarov pistol design the Czechs opted to create their own pistol.

Taking many cues from the Walther PP the Vz. 82 featured a blow back design with a fixed chrome lined polygonal barrel, SA/DA, ambidextrous safety, and double stack magazine for higher capacity.  In these respects the Czechs could lay claim to producing a pistol they viewed as superior to the Russian Makarov.

The Czechs would go on to create a commercial version, the CZ 83, which would be offered in the additional calibers of .32 ACP and .380 ACP.
