Australia also produced many inch pattern FAL rifles known as the SLR/L1A1 along side their common wealth nation allies. The Australian rifles were very similar to the British rifles and the later Canadian C1 rifles, with some minor differences. These units were produced by Lithgow in Lithgow Australia.
