STEEL CORE BULLETS – Brass cased

This ammo was produced by the DWM plant in Germany. DWM was one of the main producers of Mauser pattern rifles so logically they also produced the ammunition to go with the rifles. DWM fulfilled many contracts internally in Germany but also throughout the world. Notably the Germans sold many small arms to Spain, Portugal, and all of the Latin American countries like Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Panama, Mexico, and many others over the years leading up to the Great War.

The box has label in Spanish indicating this ammo could have been originally sold to Spain or a country in Latin America. We have no way to know wether this ammo went to Spain or Latin America but likely it was sold to Spain and kept in reserves before it was sold off to the US as surplus.

The ammunition appears to be in good shape. Some of the brass has tarnished on the outside due to age. The ammo is walking up to 100 years of age. The boxes are not in minty shape. The paper has worn down and torn. Stripper clips appear to be in goo shape. Cases are marked 1938.
