This is the legendary OSP-26 flare pistol also known as the Russian model 1926. It was designed and manufactured at the Izhevsk Weapons Factory by V. Fedorov. The Izhevsk Triangle with arrow logo is marked on the top of this flare gun; not to be confused with the Cugir Romanian proof mark which is very similar (Triangle with an arrow near the bottom). The Izhevsk mark’s arrow is more pronounced and higher inside the triangle. These pistols were used in the Japan-Soviet conflict as well as the Eastern front of WWII. Imported by M+M Industries, excellent condition.
