Original Yugoslavian M56 SMG Parts kit (ALL NFA Rules Apply)

The M56 submachine gun is a Yugoslavian weapon chambered in 7.62×25mm Tokarev, originally state-funded and later produced by Zastava Arms. Based on the German MP 40, it features a longer design and curved magazine, with significant internal and functional differences.

Notable differences include:

• No telescoping recoil spring

• Double-feed magazine (vs. single-feed in MP 40)

• Different magazine release and disassembly method

• Fire selector switch for semi/full-auto (MP 40 lacked this)

• No Bakelite resting bar under the barrel

Despite being inexpensive and simple to maintain, the M56 was more effective at range due to its higher-velocity cartridge compared to the MP 40’s 9×19mm round. It saw widespread use in multiple countries and conflicts, especially after Yugoslavia’s breakup.

Users included: Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Vietnam, and Zambia.

The plastic components all seem to be intact and in great shape. A good majority of the finish is intact on the metal parts. The barrel looks like it is in fantastic shape.
