This is a U.S. Army M1A1 Gas Mask with original carry bag and a protective cover against sprayed blister gases.  The mask is dated 1941.  The unopened protective cover is dated 1944 but appears to have a roll over of a date of 1945.

The gas mask bag is in good condition.  There is minor wear and some stains from from dirt and grime.  Stitching is solid and there are no rips or tears.  The gas mask is in very good condition.  The rubber has not dried out and shows no cracking.  Gaskets are good.  Overall wear is minor. The filter can has a couple minor dings but paint finish shows no scratches.

The protective cover is unopened and shows minor wear.
