This is an original USGI OD Green Nylon “Silent” Web sling for the M1 Garand Rifle.

This sling had been stored in an envelope inside a plastic bag.  Other examples seen are usually wrapped in foil but it is possible this was the original packaging.  it does have the original label:

This sling is also marked:   MRT   JAN  1969   meaning Mildew Resistant Treatment.

This sling appears to be in never issued condition.  There is some oxidation on the metal parts but no obvious wear other than from storage.
