Details:

Famae Chile SIG SG540 KCB 77 Bayonet

Description

An extremely rare example of the Famae SG540 pattern bayonet model KCB 77. These bayonets would have been fabricated in Germany by Eickhorn to the Chilean specs and requirements. The Chile KCB77 differs from the original Swiss SG540 KCB77 it is a mix between the KCB77 M5 and the KCB77 version 3. The Chile pattern bayonets would use the same grips  as  KCB77 M5 (Ribbed grips) and the same scabbard and blade pattern as the KCB77 ver 3. (Smooth/no cuts or holes and flat scabbard without wire cutter) These bayonets are the same black finish you can expect from an Eickhorn produced bayonet and are incredibly hard and sharp. Bayonets can be identified by the Famae Chile castle engraving.

History

Famae contracted bayonets through Eickhorn Germany to produce bayonets for their SG 540 pattern rifles. Like Switzerland and France Chile also adopted and licensed the SG540 pattern of rifles which they still use in service to this day. Since Eickhorn has the best reputation for quality bayonets and already produced 540 pattern bayonets for SIG Switzerland and SIG Manhurhin it made perfect sense to contract their own design with them. Not many of these bayonets were created so they are quite rare.

Condition
