Original Hiduminium FAL magazine. These mag bodies are constructed from an aluminum alloy and are nearly half the weight of the traditional steel body magazine . The floor plate, follower and spring seem to be the same as the traditional FAL mag, however the body is significantly lighter due to the different material. These magazines were issued to paratroopers and referred to as Hiduminium mags or Aluminum mags. The magazines feel significantly lighter than the original.

METRIC PATTERN

Hiduminium stands for HI (High) DU (Durability (minium) Aluminum alloy. The material was originally developed by Rolls Royce for aircraft use.
