The pistol pictured is a parts kit build on a US receiver. ITM Arms MK99 using a Yugoslavian/Serbian M92 Parts kit manufactured by Zastava of Serbia. ITM Arms was one of the first American AK builders to produce American made AK’s at a large scale. ITM Arms produced many receivers and receiver flats for other US based AK builders.
The M92 was produced by Zastava in Yugoslavia, now Serbia since 1992. It was designed nearly identically to the M85 which is its 5.56×45/.223 counter part. The M92 is chambered in 7.62×39 and is basically a shortened version of the Zastava M70 rifle which is a copy of the Soviet AKM rifle. The Serbian M92 and M85 rifles resemble the AKMSU and or the AKS74U “Krinkov”.
