STAR Model PS in .45 ACP made by STAR in Spain. This pistol is in very good condition (used) The pistol also has a half cock feature, manual safety, and magazine safety. The pistol is very similar to the 1911 pattern pistol in appearance and some function but has it’s own differences. The pistol has an extended dovetail and a external extractor. These pistols were made from 1970 to 1987 with only 7,657 units being made the majority of these units were made in 1973. The Garcia Corporation based out of Washington D.C. was the sole importer of the pistols that originally came to the US. STAR is no longer in business that being said these are quite the find.

The STAR Model PS Pistol is an all-steel pistol with an aesthetic very similar to the 1911 family of pistols. These models were made in .45ACP and are single action only pistols. The pistols are blued finish utilize a half cock, manual safety, and magazine safety. The hammers are color case hardened. hese pistols were made from 1970 to 1987 with only 7,657 units being made the majority of these units were made in 1973. The Star Model PS differs from the P due to the fact that the PS has the magazine safety and the P does not.

The STAR pistol pictured is the item for sale. This pistol is in very good condition. The pistol has a nice, blued finish, that remains mostly intact throughout the entire pistol. The grips appear to be in great shape and do not appear to be damaged. The barrel and bore looked excellent with good lands and grooves throughout the length of the bore. On the surface of the metal components, we noted some light patina and rust but it is very faint and would clean easily. The action and the spring tension still feel near brand new on this pistol and it does not appear to have been used very much.
