The Model 1906/29 Luger was created as an attempt to produce a simplified version of the 1906 design. The 1906/29 model featured an improved grip, lengthened grip safety, plastic grip handles and a U-shape near the safety notch. The total number of Model 1906/29 Lugers produced was 27,930 pistols.
