This Swiss Schmidt-Rubin K11 carbine rifle chambered in 7.5 Swiss was made in 1922 as a standard Karbine 1911 for the Swiss army. Like many Swiss arms it was privatized to the soldier it was issued to at the completion of service. After that service it was ‘sporterized’ into a single shot
This K11 Sporter is in good condition. The stock and hand guard have been shortened to mid barrel. The magazine well has been patched and covered with a decorative plate. One of the plate screws protrudes into to the chamber but as a single shot does not interfer with action. The left side butt stock has a cutout where a medallion or plate would have been covering the sling mount. There is no cracking or splitting in the wood but there does appear to be glue between the stock and hand guard.
The metal shows finish wear with most loss near muzzle. Minor scratching apparent on receiver. The bolt shows grime and wear. The action is stiff but functions normally. The bore is fair showing substantial fouling and minor pitting and needs a thorough cleaning.
This K11 Sporter Single Shot carbine rifle in 7.5 Swiss would make an excellent trainer or fun target rifle.
Please Note: Serial number matches on bolt and receiver. There is no magazine.
