Lienhard conversion kits have been produced since the early 1900s for a variety of firearms including the Luger, the Swiss Schmidt Rubin Rifles, and SIG pistols. These kits are highly prized by collectors and valued by shooters wishing to practice at a lower cost.
This vintage Lienhard “Neuer Karabiner-Einsatzapparat” Accessory Box was originally included with the L 54 Karabiner-Einsatzapparat Conversion Kit which would allow for the shooting of 4mm lead BBs from a carbine rifle. The original kit came in a long wooden box with the needed parts for conversion.
This is the accessory box only. According to the documents this box would contain; targets, steel plate backstop target holder, and one box of BBs/Primers.
This kit appears to be complete. It is difficult to evaluate as comparable examples are often seen with either less or more parts. These kits did get used so it is very common the prior owner would lose parts or add tools as needed. What is shown in the photos is what will be received.
This kit includes:
Box – Cardboard – has wear, no major rips or tears, label has aged
Instruction Manual (German/French)
Lienhard Documents (German)
1 – Cardboard Tin – primers and lead BBs
1 – Steel Plate Backstop – shows shooting marks
Assorted Targets – some show prior shooting, some labeled for matches
These accessory boxes are quite rare and are a must have for those who have the L 54 kit. This box could also be used for sub caliber shooting with other 4mm conversions or air rifle/pistol.
