This is a U.S. Army M1 Carbine Scabbard for the standard M1 Carbine rifle (not paratrooper).  The Scabbard is dated 1943.  Also included is a M1 Carbine magazine pouch dated 1944 and a M1 Carbine bandolier (undated).

This Scabbard was intended to be worn on the belt leaving the soldier’s hands free.  It was originally intended for Artillery Units but is also referred to as “experimental”.

The scabbard is in excellent condition.  The stitching is solid throughout.  The rivets are secure and only a few show very minor signs of oxidation.  The metal snaps show minor wear.  There is minor canvas loss/wear at the butt end.

The Magazine Pouch is a standard M1 Carbine two cell.  Condition is very good.  Stitching and metal snaps are solid.  Only showing minor wear.

The Bandolier is a six cell for 10 round clips.  Condition very good.  Some minor wear.  Stitching is good.  The bandolier is not dated and may be either WWII or Korean era.
