This is a Canadian P51 green canvas holster for the Browning Hi-Power Pistol.  The holster is dated 1953.   This holster is in excellent to near mint condition and does not appear to have been issued.  All the stitching is good.  There are no rips or tears and only a few minor spots of discoloration.  The spare magazine pocket has the metal insert.  The metal on button and flap loop has minor surface wear.

This holster includes a web belt that is more OD green in color than the holster which is more of a pea green.  The web belt is unmarked.  While the buckle is similar to the U.S. patterns of the period the belt is not.  It is somewhat similar to the British 1937 pattern but does not have the suspender buckles on the back.  It could be U.S., British, Canadian, or other.  The belt is approx. 45 inches long and is also in excellent condition.  No tears or rips and the metal of the buckles and slides shows only minor wear.
