History
The CZ52. Classified by the Czech military as the VZ. 52 was designed by two Czech brothers in the early 1950’s for the Czechoslovak military. CZ Strakonice produced nearly 200,000 units from 1952-1954. The Czechs adopted the pistol to standardize ammunition, the pistol would be replaced like the Tokarev by the VZ82 chambered in 9mmMak. The VZ52 is a roller locked short recoil operated single action pistol. The gun was originally designed for 9x19mm but due to the political climate with the Soviet Union it was required to be in 7.62×25
