This Swiss Model 1889 bayonet made by Neuhausen SIG is in fair to good condition. The serial number matches to Schmidt Rubin Model 1889 rifles in 1892.
This bayonet is in fair to good condition. The blade edge does have a few minor dings and there are sharpening marks on both sides of the edge. The blade point is slightly rounded. There is rust spot staining as well as some scratching and minor wear. The fuller shows the most staining. The hand guard is good but has rust staining and pitting on the top and bottom. The grip is fair with chips and gouges in the wood. The pommel is surprisingly clean with only very minor rust staining.
This bayonet comes with a scabbard. The scabbard is fair with finish loss, wear, and rust pitting.
Fits Schmidt Rubin 1889, 96/11, 1911, (K11 will fit but will be loose)
