The German LP34 also known as the Leuchtpistole 34 is a single shot break action flare pistol designed by Carl Walther. This flare pistol was revolutionary because it was made out of zinc alloy which were much lighter than the LP26 and the zinc alloy prevented corrosion but was not as corrosion proof as the aluminum alloy frame. There are LP34’s made out of steel as well, but that version is more uncommon and quite rare. The flare pistols trigger guard acts as a release for the barrel/chamber. This offering has Waffenamt markings on the frame indicating it was used by the German Wehrmacht in the Second World War. Surplus condition.
