This is a rare Lienhard 22lr conversion kit for the Schmidt Rubin K31 7.5×55 Swiss rifle.
This kit is in very good condition and contains all the original parts. These kits were made in the late 40s through the 50s and are extremely rare.
The wood case shows no signs of cracking or splitting and the finish shows only minor wear. There are some minor scratches and dings. The latches work normally however the top does have a minor warp resulting in a gap when closed and latched.
The metal parts are in very good condition showing minor wear. The barrel is excellent with only very minor wear. The bore is extremely shiny, 4 out of 5, with crisp rifling and no signs of pitting. The bolt sleeve has very minor wear and serial numbers match sleeve to barrel. The brass parts all have only minor tarnish.
Lienhard conversion kits are extremely prized given the high quality of manufacture and extreme accuracy they produce. This kit gives the user the ability to switch from 7.5x55mm Swiss to 22lr for precision target shooting.
