These Nippon Kogaku Tokyo Novar 7X50 Binoculars and Case were made in occupied Japan sometime between 1945-1952.  The high serial number putting it more likely to the later end of the period.

These binoculars are in very good condition.  There is minor finish loss at the lenses.  Minor wear.  Some dust and dirt build up.  Glass is excellent showing no cracks.  Function is smooth opening/closing and focus adjustment.  The view is very crisp and clear with no haze/fog on lenses.

The Case shows much wear and scuffing.  The back of the top has torn off from the case.  It is missing the carry straps and one of the strap loops has torn off.
