Incredibly ornate flintlock musket of North African origin, most likely Moroccan, produced between the late 18th and early 19th century in very good condition. The decorations appear to be brass. The firing mechanism is fully functional with the original flint still in place. Minor amounts of rust and tarnish are visible on the outside of the barrel; some rust is present inside the barrel. Slight surface corrosion is visible on the firing mechanism. The length of this piece measures 59 inches. Overall, this musket is a beautiful piece of artwork and would make an excellent addition to any collector’s display; especially those particularly interested in Islamic firearms.
