This is a WWII German Army (Heer) Belt Buckle with leather tab dated 1941.
The buckle was originally olive drab and much of the paint has worn off. Patina and rust staining where the paint is gone. The back of the buckle has more paint but some rust spots. The swivel and prongs have rust. The leather tab is is in good condition with stitching still solid. Leather is lost at the prong. Overall condition is good.
The buckle front is marked with “GOTT MITT UNS” (God With Us) over an eagle with Swastika. The buckle back is unmarked however there is a splotch of rust where a mark may have been.
